Life-Enriching Friday Faves to Challenge You: Creating, Organizing, Giving

Last week was my first week of posting a roundup of my Friday Favorites and it seems it was a pleasing addition to the blog! Glad you like it. 🙂  I’ll be showcasing many of the favorites on My Favorite Things website tab.

This Week’s Faves:

Fave Amazon Steal:

The Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine was offered as a Lightning Deal on Amazon Prime Day and boy did I have to move with lightning speed to get it!! This deal for maybe 100 machines was nabbed up within 5 seconds, and I was THRILLED to have clicked fast enough to claim the machine for $50 off the full price! I absolutely couldn’t pass up it up because I had conducted all my research and determined that was the cutting machine for me and my business pursuits! Check out one of my first DIY projects below!

Fave DIY:

To get one step closer to organized and have make up brushes ready on the draw, this glass vase with clear filler is a sexy solution! Don’t miss my next DIY post on this charming Make Up Brush Holder you can make with a Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine {or other models} and a couple of craft supplies! I heart organization and this brush holder gives my brand new brushes a place of honor!

Fave Learning Opportunity:

And now for more organization inspiration! After attempting to tidy my master closet and craft room all-the-while listening to my Audible download, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, by Marie Kondo, I decided I wanted to continue tidying my office closet while listening to her follow-up title, Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up. I’m a fan! Now, do I have tidying completely mastered? No. Does that mean I failed by Marie Kondo’s standards? Kinda. She believes if you do a one-time tidying of your whole home through her systematic approach that you will never relapse into untidy living spaces again. So I need to take another stab at it down the road when I’m in more of a purging state-of-mind and not a nesting stage. But I very much enjoy her approach (other than talking to my undergarments and thanking them for their various properties?!) and I’ll probably re-listen to these self-help books again for more category-by-category inspiration.

Fave Quote:

This is a quote I posted to inspire friends in my moms’ group; Nate Berkus is my fave for many reasons, most of which is for his inspiration inside the home and heart. Starting next week I’ll be holding events to help local moms enrich their lives by approaching the world with wonder, exploring their talents, discovering their passion(s) and living their purpose. Can. Not. Wait. If you’re a local mom who can meet during the day and ya wanna come along with us on this journey, hop on the train!

You will enrich your life immeasurably if you approach it with a sense of wonder and discovery, and always challenge yourself to try new things.

Fave Natural Product:

I love to add a daily shot of NingXia Red® to my diet (and baby girl’s!) to enjoy the benefits of the powerful, whole-body supplement. This sweet and tangy drink’s formula includes wolfberry, which is touted for its health benefits. Also featuring plum, aronia, cherry, blueberry, and pomegranate juices, extracts and many yummy essential oils, Young Living’s NingXia Red is packed with superfoods to support overall wellness. I love it so much I made you a little {quirky} vid to tell you more! 🙂

Fave Way {So Far} to Support Hurricane Harvey Victims:

From the amazing Texan, Brené Brown‘s Facebook Page [because people don’t think to donate underwear]:

Let’s talk underwear! #realtalk #Harvey

Here are three ways to give NEW (still in package) underwear. Please keep in mind that we need a variety of sizes for men, women, boys, and girls, including XXL.

1. https://www.amazon.com/…/2O89ZX93O…/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_1

2. Collect new, packaged underwear and mail it to the address below. It’s our local Hillel and they are collecting for us. This is a really great neighborhood or school project. If you’re purchasing, we recommend Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. UFE doesn’t process or give out anything but underwear!
