Friday Favorites – A New Feature!

Boy, oh boy! I’m so excited for a new feature I’ve been daydreaming about for a while now! As a social butterfly, I love to ask others for their recommendations and I’m always tickled to share mine! How many things are more fun than exchanging ideas?! So as these Friday Favorites come together each week, you may be surprised one day to find I’ve purchased or downloaded or visited one of your referrals…and you’ll know I was pleased as punch to share the quick deets with others!

While the categories will vary, the suggestions will keep flowing. So without further adieu, let’s begin!

WAIT! FIRST! I must tell you a little something….since you were last here I found out we’re having a baby girl!!!! More on that, our gender reveal party, baby girl’s nursery-in-the-works, etc. But I had to let you know before this first, darling favorite….

Favorite Baby Gift:

I absolutely adore Baby C’s first ever gift!!! She received these Cream & Red Triangle Leather Booties from my great friend M. and I cannot wait to put them on her tiny feet when she arrives!!!

For another fun option, here is a pair I found on Zulily.com for more than half off:

Gold and White Geometric Leather Moccasin from Expressive Boutique on Zulily.com

Favorite Clothing:

Below is a dress I purchased as a Lightning Deal for $7 off on Amazon Prime Day! While I love a maxi dress or skirt anyway, they are often long on me so I assumed this would be perfect as a maternity dress that I could hem up later. 🙂

Demetory Women's Boho Sleeveless Wave Striped Maxi Dress (Small, Navy) from Amazon.com

Below you can see the Demetory Women`S Boho Sleeveless Wave Striped Maxi Dress (Small, Navy) on me from earlier this week. Here are the DIY details on How to Make a Chalkboard Baby Bump Tracker That Grows With You!

Favorite DIY Project:

Last night I had a blast at a planner workshop with friends in which we made a couple paper-related organization tools including these DIY Paperclip Bookmarks! Takes a few seconds and is a simple, fun edition to a planner, notebook, journal, book, and more!

Favorite Learning Opportunity:

My favorite podcast I always return to since episode one aired is Happier with Gretchen Rubin! It is well-organized, well-planned, the content is ever-changing and yet topic-related and my favorite non-fiction writer, Gretchen Rubin really keeps me on my toes! I am so eager for her next book, The Four Tendencies, to be released that I pre-ordered it and gained entry into a small fan group with early access to content! More to come on that, but in the meantime you can learn about Gretchen’s amazing Four Tendency framework and more on this top-rated podcast…

Favorite Natural Product:

Young Living’s Peppermint Essential Oil is the perfect pick-me-up when added to food and drinks (or even applied properly to the body). Here is a little concoction that struck me as a terribly yummy indulgence recently, and I’ve been making it all week so I made you a 30 second how-to video! ?

{P.S. If you’re like me, you’re wondering why I chose a natural product that isn’t turquoise or yellow like the rest of the items…because it’s an easy-to-use and consumable option I couldn’t resist!}

Favorite (Simple) Way to Support a Cause:

For all of my fellow Amazon.com addicts, did you know you can enjoy your favorite past time while couch surfing–and supporting your choice of nearly one million causes?!

“AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization.” ~ http://smile.amazon.com/

Go to smile.amazon.com instead if you want to support your cause.

To do this:

  1. Enter “smile.amazon.com” in your browser address bar
  2. Shop & place your order
  3. Amazon donates

Easy, right? Recently I changed my charity to the Young Living Foundation which provides wellness and education opportunities to underserved communities. One day I hope to go on a mission trip sponsored by the Foundation! #allthefeels
So what do you think? Are you digging any of these fave finds? I’d love to hear what you’re into these days and give it a test-drive too!
