{My Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken}

When I was preparing to make {My Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice} recipe {stay tuned for that in the coming weeks!} I found on Pinterest, the blogger/home cook recommended this Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Recipe. Following the recommendation, I cooked the teriyaki chicken in my Crock Pot and then added the chicken to my fried rice that I stir fried separately in my new wok on the stove.

I altered {My Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken} recipe for our family trio in these subtle ways {because why mess too much with what seems like a good recipe?}:

  • My Italian hubby doesn’t like garlic–shocking, I know!–so I added garlic powder to my own dish after cooking.
  • I substituted rice vinegar for cider vinegar and I think it still came out well.

I couldn’t believe that I was able to make something so tender and tasty given my lack of history with cooking, but it turns out I can!! And all three of us enjoyed it which is a huge plus!! #runningoutofexcusesnow
